2/8/12 Web 2.0 Article

Paul Baier was thinking of ways that he would be able to get his 14-year-old daughter, Rachel, to deactivate her Facebook account. His final decision was to bribe her into deactivating her account for 4 months. He created a contract stating that he would pay her a total of $200 in two payments. The first payment would be $50 two months after the contract is signed, and the second would be $150 at the end of the four months. The contract also stated that she would not be able to reactivate her account before the 4 months passed. Rachel stated that she would spend the money on "stuff". Rachel also said that it was her idea because she wanted the money.
